Tong Straps were designed as a rubber spring originally used to assist in repositioning the tong tools for manoeuvring drill pipe and saving the crew time and effort. Appearing in other industries such as vacuum trucks and fluid hauling trucks where the strap is used to tie up multiple hoses on the back of the tanks. The Tong Strap is made up of high quality rubber and has one inch non sparking eyelets on each end. It has been introduced to the shipping industry where it has found multiple purposes anywhere a shock load preventer is needed and also as an anchor chain snubber.
