A fuse plug is a single-use drain that is installed in the side of a Wellriser hose fitting (N10WR). When a Wellriser hose is in use, it is full of water while suspending a submersible pump sometimes hundreds of feet down into a well. In order to drain the hose, the user will drop a torpedo (WR-TORPEDO) into the top end of the hose. The torpedo will break the fuse plug allowing the water to drain which makes the system light enough to be pulled up to ground level so the pump can be serviced or replaced. Since the fuse plug is broken in order to drain, a replacement will be needed in order for the system to hold water again.
