Horizon®/Frontier® Multi-Purpose Rubber is known across many industries. The rubber remains more flexible over time as compared to PVC hoses or lower quality rubber hoses. It can be used for air, water (not food grade), heater, or low pressure agricultural spray where oil presence is limited (not designed for use as chemical transfer hose in critical applications). Its cover is resistant to light/medium abrasion, ozone, and weathering. Larger sizes are typically used for heavy duty water service, but not for regular washdown due to the physical weight and size of the hose (see our Water & Fire Sections for lighter washdown hose).

Construction: Tube: Black, smooth EPDM. Cover: Smooth EPDM. Reinforcement: Available in 2 & 4 spiral synthetic cords.

Typical Fittings: N400/N400L Brass or nylon barbs (smaller sizes), Universals, N176 Hex Hose Barbs, Double Lock/Twist Lock Quick Acting, garden hose fittings, camlocks, brass ferrules, pinch clamps, punch clamps, crimp sleeves.

Temperature Range: -40°C (-40°F) to +88°C (190°F)

Detail Comments: These are coupled with plated universal hose ends or male x female NPSM (straight pipe thread) as indicated. Any "non-stock" assemblies can be made up from our bulk inventory. For "crimped on" ends, use a "C" as a suffix. Please see our water hose section for information on garden hose assemblies.
