This constant tension gear, all stainless steel clamp uses a Belleville spring design to eliminate "cold flow" leakage in light-duty applications and adjust with the hose and fitting to maintain constant tension on the connection, eliminating leak paths. They are a better choice than regular gear clamps in applications with fluctuating and extreme temperatures or thermal compensation, such as on silicone hoses. Some users and OEM's prefer the gear style clamp as opposed to the more robust N68SL or N75CT T-Bolt style clamps.
