Liner or extended tang gear clamps are designed for use on silicone hose. The extended tang creates a smooth interior so the soft cover does not protrude through the gear slots (using regular gear clamps will result in damage and premature hose failure). They have a 301 stainless band (.026" thick) and a plated steel screw. It is good practice to check for tightness at regular intervals while in service.
