This durable sight glass is generally used by pumpers and water haulers to see what is flowing through heat-treaters, separators and storage tank drain lines at all times. They are NOT for use with aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, strong acids, and various concentrations of solvents or ketones. The sight glass is made from a tough, shatter-resistant polycarbonate (30 times the impact resistance of safety glass), withstands prolonged exposure to UV rays, and can be used in temperatures ranging from -101°C to 74°C (-150°F to 165°F). Use an oily rag to clean (avoid scratching sight glass) and always place a pipe wrench on the metal connections and not the sight glass when tightening.
