These are heavy duty, zinc plated steel live swivels suitable for up to 4500 psi oil applications. They are not recommended for water service due to the corrosive nature of the zinc plated steel, although they are available in stainless steel (NSBxxxx-xx-xxSS) for better resistance in corrosive environments, such as around salt water or chemicals. They are designed for aggressive service between -40°C (-40°F) to +93°C (+200°F) (standard Buna-N seal). "Live Swivels" are not designed for very high RPM/frequency applications; in such a case a mechanical "rotary joint" should be used.
