Metal-to-metal sealing surfaces like JIC are often subject to damage prior to installation, during assembly if over-tightened, or as the connections are reused. Sealing surface imperfections lead to unwanted weeping and leaking joints. Flaretite Seals can seal off minor leaks and weeping connections. To install, they have a built-in clip which holds onto the male nose/face of the JIC threaded connection.
