White Nylon Pipe Fittings - 196
Nylon fittings are typically used with small diameter hoses for water, fluids, and certain chemicals (refer to chemical resistance chart) where metal materials are not preferred. Nylon fittings are generally made from non-toxic NSF 61 food grade raw materials, but are not considered NSF Certified finished goods and therefore MAY NOT be recommended for use in all types of Food or Beverage systems (end user to determine suitability of nylon fittings, as an option we recommend the use of 304 / 316 grade Stainless Steel). As a general guide only, White Nylon fittings are rated for pressures up to 150 psi at 20°C (70°F) at ambient room temperatures (at wider temperature ranges, the maximum pressure rating drops significantly). Nylon fittings should NOT be used with compressed gases, acid-based fluids, xylene, chlorine, or applications subject to ozone. Note: Chlorine in water systems combined with elevated temperatures can produce an oxidizing environment that will shorten the life of nylon fittings. Always refer to a chemical resistance chart for proper material selection.
