NL4878 Standard & NL4879 HD Silicone Charge Air Cooler hoses (also known as "Hump" hoses) are used to connect the turbocharger to the charge cooler as well as the charge cooler to the truck engine manifold. NL4879 HD incorporates recessed grooved ends and flared soft cuffs for greater clamp retention which is ideal for heavy equipment which has greater "kick back" pressure. Both NL4878 Standard & NL4879 HD are very durable, +260°C (500°F) heat and oil mist resistant sleeves that have 2 humps and 3 external stainless steel restrictor rings for added support (1 hump, 2 ring versions are available but costing/dimensions are almost the same). Some of the more popular sizes are listed below, but many other custom sizes, shapes, and forms are available. As a note, the standard colour is orange, but some OEM's prefer to use "blue" ones for the cold side of the unit and use the orange ones for the hot side only (the blue typically have a max temp range of 148°C (300°F) while the orange are up to 260°C (500°F)).

Typical Fittings: N68SL/N75CT spring loaded T-Bolt clamps. No barbed/sharp fittings that may cut the tube.
