NL5060 is a softwall, fabric reinforced, semi-collapsible, robust discharge hose manufactured with FDA compliant compounds for food and beverage applications such as: dairy, beer, wine, alcohol, juice, potable water, fatty foods, oily edibles, and non-abrasive foodstuffs up to 100°C (212°F). Also ideal for washdown cleanup where a food grade hose (tube and cover) is required. The rubber construction allows for ease of handling, resists external abrasion, wear and weathering provides extended durability whereas a more economical PVC hoses may break down prematurely. NOTE: always confirm if chemical sanitizers are compatible with the nitrile rubber compounds of this hose (for EPDM rubber washdown, refer to our NL5067, NL2245 & NL2525). Construction: Tube: Smooth, white NBR, fat and oil resistant FDA CFR 21 177.2600 (e) Cover: Wrapped, blue NBR/PVC, oil, abrasion, ozone and weather resistant. Reinforcement: 2-ply synthetic fabric.

Typical Fittings: Stainless Sanitary Inserts (Tri-Clamp, Acme, etc), N5013 Interlocking Sanitary Crimp w/N5013F Ferrule, White Poly or Stainless Camlocks (exchange food grade gasket); for plain/non-interlock Insert Fittings, we recommend Stainless Band/Bolt Clamps (NOT recommended with plain, non-interlocking WC-SS crimp sleeves due to temperature rubber flow & coupling integrity). Excessive heat in long cycles can compromise coupling integrity on thick, soft durometer hoses. External bend restrictors typically not used due to possibility of bacteria build up. For hot water applications long shank/long barb fittings are required. If using cleaning chemicals or sanitizers, always confirm if they are compatible with the nitrile rubber compounds of this hose.
