Variflex® is a quality, non-conductive general service hose manufactured with oil-resistant rubber. It can be used as an air or water hose (not food grade) where the more cost effective general purpose hose will not provide long enough service life, especially in oily environments (not typically for use around ozone due to nitrile composition). Its tube is highly resistant to oil-saturated air and lubricating oils (RMA Class A) while its cover is designed to resist greasy or oily environments (RMA Class A) with regular abrasion. The minimum electrical resistance is greater than 1 megohm per inch of hose length at 1000V DC.

Construction: Tube: Black, high ORS Chemigum (nitrile) rubber. Cover: Red, medium-high ORS Chemigum (nitrile blend) rubber. Reinforcement: Spiral synthetic yarn.

Typical Fittings: N400 Brass or nylon barbs (smaller sizes), Universals, N176 Hex Hose Barbs, Double Lock/Twist Lock Quick Acting, garden hose fittings, camlocks, brass ferrules, pinch clamps, punch clamps, crimp sleeves.

Temperature Range: -29°C (-20°F) to +88°C (190°F)
