NL4033 is a wrapped cover softwall dispensing hose specifically formulated to convey the high-purity, aqueous urea solution DEF fluid (NOT petroleum based fluids at all). Its tube compound is specially formulated to significantly reduce contamination levels in DEF, while its cover is weather and abrasion resistant. DEF is a liquid reducing agent that reacts with engine exhaust to convert smog-forming nitrogen oxides (NOx) into harmless nitrogen and water vapor. This hose also meets ISO 22241 standard for enhanced manufacturing practices. Warning: If using on a hose reel, replace O-ring in swivel with an EPDM or Viton seal, and always use proper fitting materials recommended for DEF, or contamination can damage engine or exhaust components. Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is a non-hazardous solution, which is 32.5% urea and 67.5% de-ionized water.

Construction: Tube: Peroxide cured EPDM synthetic rubber. Cover: Wrapped EPDM rubber (weather, UV and ozone resistant). Reinforcement: Single textile braid.

Typical Fittings: N400/N400C/N402C (NPT or BSPP) 304/316 stainless steel barbs, crimp sleeves. SPECIAL NOTE: Using wrong fitting materials could damage exhaust or engine components, sensors, etc.; DEF is NOT compatible with brass, aluminum, steel, zinc, or nickel; DEF typically requires stainless steel, PTFE, polyethylene, or polypropylene. Optional testing & certification.
