These are PTFE bored hoses with a 304 stainless steel cover which also acts as the reinforcement. They can be used in a variety of fluid, hydraulic, air compressor, or gas applications where temperature, purity, or corrosion resistance are of prime concern, such as on short, low pressure steam lines (not for steam/cold water cycling), food grade beverage transfer lines (meets FDA 21 CFR 177.1550), chemical lines, or for truck/bus air compressor discharge. *SPECIAL NOTE: Our NL530 or NL540 PTFE with a black static conductive liner should be used where static build up is a concern, as well as with with fuels, flammables, and steam. Since the reinforcement is exposed and also acts as a cover, it is NOT designed for abusive or rugged environments. Due to the rigid nature of PTFE tubing, special attention must be taken to prevent this hose from kinking or exceeding its bend radius (for additional bending capabilities refer to our NL535/540 Series Convoluted Hose). Our standard NL525 SAE100R14 has a white PTFE tube; for applications where static electricity is a problem, please use our NL530 SAE100R14 static conductive with a black PTFE tube. For chemical applications, always refer to a chemical resistance charts and drain after use. Where there are risks of asphyxiation, hose should be installed in well vented areas.

Construction: Tube: White extruded 0.030" smooth bore PTFE. Cover and Reinforcement: One braid of high tensile 304SS steel wire.

Typical Fittings: N52631 brass permanent crimp, N52531 brass reusables, N52731 stainless permanent crimp, N528xx/N529xx 2-piece permanent crimp.

Temperature Range: Continuous: -54°C (-65°F) to +232°C (450°F). Steam only: to +200°C (388°F)
